List

Zotero 1.5 just launched their beta version. I’ve been playing around with a preview version of this. It was awesome then, and it looks like the beta version is loaded with even more goodies.

One of the really exciting features is the addition of profiles and the ability to follow other users. I can’t wait to find some philosophers who use this. Basically, philosophers will be able to grab citation data fro, other philosophers’ databases.

It was already pretty easy to add references to your citation library. With this social component it will be even easier.

The other cool feature is the syncing ability (although this was in the preview version). With the ability to sync you can have your library on your laptop, your office desktop, and you home desktop automatically sync through an internet connection.

Anywhere you write a paper, you’ll be able to drop in references and a bibliography from your library.
